CLAUDE.md has a Current State (2026-08-03) section that no one has updated since.
It tells an agent the package is at version 0.1.0 (pre-release), that work is on branch
feat/cog-balances-25 at fde62eb, and that the suite is 788 tests. Its "Remaining to
v0.1 release" list includes running pkgdown::build_site() for the first time.

As of 2026-09-30: tag v0.4.0 is on origin, work is on main, and the suite is 1,101
pass and 2 skip. pkgdown has been built.

pm/STATUS.md, which compass generates, now holds where the project stands. Two ways to
close this:

replace the section with a one-line pointer to pm/STATUS.md, or
rewrite it by hand and keep it current.

The first cannot go stale again. The choice is Jared's, since agents read this section at
the start of every session.
