Depends on #44.

The single biggest technical reason for the mirror. This package hard-depends on duckdb and httr2 — both compiled — and has never been checked on Windows or macOS. The Gitea runner is Linux-only and cannot provide this.

Note Gitea reads .gitea/workflows and GitHub reads .github/workflows, so both CI configs coexist in one tree without colliding. Gitea CI stays authoritative for deploys.

The workflow

.github/workflows/R-CMD-check.yaml, standard r-lib/actions matrix:

  • ubuntu-latest (release + devel)
  • macos-latest (release)
  • windows-latest (release)

The suite needs no credentials — tests/testthat/setup.R points at the bundled fixture — which is exactly why the fixture must never be .Rbuildignored.

Also worth adding

A PR-comment action explaining the contribution flow (see CONTRIBUTING.md): patches land on Gitea, and the PR closes itself as merged when the mirror syncs. Without it, a first-time contributor sees their PR close with no visible Merge click and reads it as rejection.

Done when

  • Matrix green on all three platforms
  • Any platform-specific failure either fixed or documented
